Don Kincaid on the intrusion of mobile phone sales people.

Off I go again with my latest, but maybe not an original “Rant” on the above subject, but it is current here.

It can not be me alone, who is plagued with an ever increasing number of Mobile Phone Company Sales People calling up on an irretatingly regular basis, offering their unsolicited services! I hope not!

They are forever insisting their Services are better than my current supplier. How do they know that, I have not told them who it is or complained about what services they provide? In truth there is not that much to choose between them all. Perhaps it is a mute point here.

Never the less, the consistently polite and ever persistent caller attempts to run through the highly original script and convince me of my errors in appointing my current supplier! It is an amazing feat that they almost always call when I am rushing and on the way out; with no time to discuss their array of merits or indeed lack of them. Unfortunately the phrase “No thank you, I am not interested” has been deleted from their vocabulary radar!

My point is I guess as with most people, I am all for saving hard earned money if I can. However, it is the bombardment of the obtuse callers insisting they know best and you are wrong, which is the insult that puts me off doing any business.

I am now waiting for the Gas and Electricity Utilities Services people to begin the whole cycle again. I just may go out now for a while…….!

Don Kincaid on the Importance of a Returns Policy

Is it me or are mega companies that dismissive of  ‘Joe Public’? The other day I was shopping in a major electrical store ‘Cu….s’ in the Midlands, U.K. While the assistant was sorting out my purchase of some expensive Wii kit along with many games and attachments, I noticed a huge sign on the wall with a message from the Company to us mortals.

In short it more or less said, “We guarantee 100% your money back within 28 days, as long as the  items packaging and contents  being returned, remains sealed and unused!!”

“Brilliant !”I said. Just how the hell will I know if it works or not, unless I open it up and try it!

The answer is simple! According to the Assistant helping me if we all return it as per their instruction under our guarantee from them,  it enables them to sell it more easily, after we have been given our money back!

“But, it doesnt help us find a product that works?!” I said. Oh what happiness!
